Because many of you are embarrassed by the conditions that you are living in you don't curse me when ever I talk about what I have.....
I have been reviewing all day long tapes made by those who have lost their jobs and who have run out of their worksman comp, and to tell you the truth I stopped looking at them because it simply broke my heart.
I have always known how bad it is but till you put a face on those who are talking about it you simply don't and can't get it........it is really sad to see when a 18 year old boy who was planning on going to college who now has to go into the military because the family is broke and about to loose their home.
A place that gives out free food were giving out 4,000 rations a year in 2002 and now they are giving out 34,000......and even they are running out of donations, many kids are now getting a simple toy from the dollar store and nothing else.
A lady of 56 who was a VIP for a fortune 500 is now going around picking cans and bottle from the trash dumpsters.........and in a meeting of 50 people 15 had a PhD with 11 with a Doc.
Anyway guys, all that I can say is that I AM SORRY and will stop talking about HOW I GOT IT MADE IN THE SHADE.......my love and best wishes to all of you.

Ponce you've also had your problems as well....you lost your farm, dad, cat, and had a stoke....all in the same year?
Also you posting your preps and strategies has given me some good ideas.

I know what you mean Ponce,
Today is my last day of work. I am going to be laid off for at least a few months for the first time in 12 years.
It is easy to forget how good you have things, and how bad it is for people looking for work out there.
Sure, there are some that take advantage of unemployment and milk it until it stops, but many just can't find suitable work.
Those are real people, not just statistics. And as I go into an uncertain work future, I have more compassion for the income-challenged.
I'm staying positive though, and already have a couple leads on new jobs. Gawd I hated my job anyways, but the pay was good and I thought it was absolutely secure.
Word on the grapevine is that there was a blowout argument between the CEO of my company and a high-up manager of our client company, so they did not renew our contract.
I always said it was nice to have a job that did not depend on people buying stuff, now I lost it for the ego of two managers.

Thanks for your sensitivity Ponce. It sure sounds like you have become a little more human.
I look at rich and poor and I see the same things happening to them- they all die. The rich do not look any happier as they get tied up in scandals, soul poisons, worries of wealth preservation and the loss of true friends.
When I was in the army, one rule was that you did not flaunt your wealth (whether it was extra food or some other creature comforts) unless you were willing to share them. Since we are all so far removed from each other, we are not that kind of cohesive unit and such things are not practical. While I think I would like more things and more money, I see clearly that I have been given just so much to work with and that is my place in life for now. Those who think they "earned" all their wealth deny the gifts they have received, unless they were stolen, not given. After all, what do any of us have that we did not receive?

I'm with ya on the compassion front with exception to some of these...

How did these high income, high net worth, degreed individual's become destitute?
By living the high life and not taking precautions to secure their future?
Not very bright imo.

That is great advice. My dad taught me something similar: don't tell anyone you've got a dollar, or they'll want to take it from you (or help you spend it).

LOL Horn, good video........and I got it made in the shade because all that I have is ALL MINE and even if I were to loose it all I still would have more to back it up and if I were to loose the back up I still would have a nother line of defence...........is not what you have but rather how you use what you have and how you live, by no means am I rich and now my only income is my SS but because the way that I planned it all less than half of my SS is needed.
In the army I used to lend out five dollar that on payday I would recieved seven, even the company comander used to borrow money from me........plus, I used to cut hair for .50 cents a head...money is always there for the taking, if you have the right tool to get it with.
About my PM......yes I do have a lot of silver put away and I will probably give it all away ......but........ DON'T MESS AROUND WITH MY TP.....I want to be burried with it ahahahahahahaha.
There is a small church here in town that serves free food on Monday and Tuesday, they have a small collection box where you can drop some money, if you have it, I go there at least once a months and every time that I go I drop a $100.00 bill.......a while back one of the ladies saw me do it and came running over to me and told me to give it to them in person hahahaaahaha, but of course now it will be only a $20.00 because I know that later on they will really need my help.

Well mick, I am like the ant who was getting ready while the grasshopper was having fun.......the advantage that I have over most is that I can feel what is going to happen and up till now everything is going according to plan.
