Just thought I would say hello. I have been in the gold mining business for close to 25 years in the great state of Nevada. I have been a long term precious metals stacker.

Welcome. Nice to have some industry insight here. Stacker too......nice portfolio you bring. ;D
Been quite a decade eh? (<<<I'm Canadian)
Read in the Report on Business paper this morning Gold was classified as one of the top 5 investments for '10........the article went something like 'freeze dried food, automatic rifle and gold bars......' and they also threw in the term 'conspiracy nuts' somewhere to, hahaha. Surprised?
I also heard on a.m. radio this morning two financial advisors talking about gold being in a bubble, and that wheat, oj, corn and a myriad of other commodities had outperformed gold.........but didn't explain how we should hold on to those items while the paper markets crash. Hmmmmm.
So again welcome , we can always use another nut job who has no idea about how to invest. ;D

Hey Gold Miner. Does this producer you work for hedge their Gold? Besides banks and refiners I wonder who else is going short these days since I have heard miners have generally stopped hedging.

Is your company expanding on old claims that weren't feasible at cheaper prices, moving to newer unexplored areas, and/or picking up junior explorers?

We have not picked up any juniors, high gold prices have made many ore bodies feasible and we continue a solid drilling program.

That's what I figured. What I wonder these days is who picked up the slack when the miners stopped hedging. Who legitimately goes short besides the refiners?
