i thought it would be interesting to start a thread tracking the increase in prices of things. i haven't been to the store for over a week, but i noticed when i went today that prices on specific items had been jacked up over the holidays.

right before xmas, i bought a box of 400 american eagle .22LR rounds for $21.99. today, at the exact same store, the price had been changed to $24.26.

on xmas eve, i bought a 1 lb. box of creamette pasta shells for $1.15. today, same store, $1.47.

the guy ahead of me in the grocery store was apparently not amused either, he was bitching about food prices going up when i got in line.

random observations.

Great idea, check here: http://gold-silver.us/forum/general-discussion/anecdotal-economic-field-reports-(now-stickied)/120/

Pretty much tracks prices as well as other indicators.

MNEagle is correct... we have a stickied thread for economic observations. I don't normally lock threads, but I'll make an exception for this one - no need for unnecessary duplications.
