I have been reading the last few nights a book called The Deep Hot Biosphere by Thomas Gold. He wrote this book in 1999. In it he speculates that there are more life forms living below the surface of the earth than live above the surface. Mostly bacteria that have adapted to high temperatures and pressures. And of course since these bacteria never see sunlight, they get their energy from hydrocarbons. Gold believes that hydrocarbons are some of the original materials that 'condensed' when the earth was formed. And they are trapped in rock, but bouyant, so they seep upward through porous rocks. He believes there are astronomical quantities of oil trapped in the earth. The oil companies prefer that people believe that we are running out of oil to keep the prices high. This is a very interesting book--i'm not going to be able to put it down until I finish it now.

I'm going to regard the video in the OP as a piece of propaganda. I will have to watch it a few times to be able to tell who put it up.

If you look into abiotic oil theory, you will see that they have made oil from calcium carbonate and water. The earth is full of calcium carbonate. The Russians knew about this 40 years ago.
