The same as last years US base at the bottom of mountain and hills, all that the Taliban had to do was to shoot at our boys from up the hills......five Americans did die and then they left the camp.....lots of ammo and weapons all over the place.

By the way, anyone knows of a good site that shows all that stayed behind when we ran out of Viet Nam?

US could olny bomb the VC if they were on the trails

As soon as they stepped off they couldnt be attacked as they were no longer targets.

This was OFFICIAL US Policy for engaging the enemy.


This is how a War can grind out for years and years.
