To me it is more important what people read and post about the articles at this site rather than the articles themselves and most here react to the article rather than to the reason for the article.......I am simply amazed that even if many here believe that they are ahead of the pack they are still with the pack and withing the circle that the stablishment has drawn around them.......looks to me that Lady GAGA is more important than what is happening with the our nation and the world......now I feel really in danger.
You don't believe? just look at the count of how many have read a non important article and how many have read about what is really related (and that affects) all of us.......but of course we all need "entertaiment" once in a while.

personally i think Ponce' purchase are interesting because he has a survivalist streak. i somehow ended up thinking, "you know, i would like a diesel motorcycle" after reading Ponce's post - though it wasn't about diesel motorcycles. that is, the post made me think.
as far as Lady Gaga, i think it's sort of like People magazine. i would not ever buy it, but i do purposely go in a check-out line at the supermarket so i can look at it.
personally, i am a non-fan of Lady Gaga.

The sheeple may not be paying attention to the important issues that we dedicate our time to (with great reward), but it's important for those of us that realize what is happening to keep an eye on the stimuli that is driving the sheep mentality (aka popular culture)...
I'm sure that the OP of the Lady Gaga article wasn't expecting our group here to react to it the same way that the AOL (or Yahoo! or TMZ or whatever) folks would.
Our job is to analyze popular culture at times to keep up and understand what drives the masses. It is to our advantage to do so.
Though I don't own a TV, I make sure that I have sufficient understanding of the sports culture at all times so that I may continue to converse with the masses in their own language. Makes things easier.

That's true... without TV, it's hard to converse with everyday people. They have no idea what I'm talking about and I have no idea what they're talking about.
