Tom DeLay sentenced to three years in prison

Former House majority leader Tom DeLay was sentenced to three years in prison for his role in a money-laundering case stemming from the 2002 elections.

DeLay, once one of the most powerful Republicans in Congress, was convicted in November for illegally funneling $190,000 in corporate money through the Republican National Committee to help elect Republicans to the Texas Legislature during the 2002 elections.

Texas judge Pat Priest sentenced DeLay to three years on a conspiracy charge and also sentenced him to five years in prison for money laundering. Priest, however, allowed DeLay to accept 10 years probation on the money laundering charge, assuming he meets certain conditions set by the court.

I would say he pissed someone off a bit higher up the food chain.

I would say he pissed someone off a bit higher up the food chain.

Yeah, but who would he have pissed off? He was such an obedient drone who worked diligently and tirelessly for the Inner Party.

Perhaps that is the best form of obedience training? Destroy one of your most loyal supporters to tell the rest that you mean business.

He's getting a payoff...

Nice Guy Eddie: The man you just killed was just released from prison. He got caught at a company warehouse full of hot items. He could've fuckin' walked. All he had to do was say my dad's name, but he didn't; he kept his fucking mouth shut. And did his fuckin' time, and he did it like a man. He did four years for us. So, Mr. Orange, you're tellin' me this very good friend of mine, who did four years for my father, who in four years never made a deal, no matter what they dangled in front of him, you're telling me that now, that now this man is free, and we're making good on our commitment to him, he's just gonna decide, out of the fucking blue, to rip us off? Why don't you tell me what really happened?

He's just taking one for the team. After all, why question the rest of the politicians when the justice system "seems to be" working so well.

I don't buy that he's "taking one for the team". The only thing that's keeping him from fingering anyone else is that he doesn't want the whole world seeing him found dead in some NJ garbage dump.

From the article:

He remained free, however, while his case wound its way through the appeals process. So this gangster didn't spend a day in prison. How predictable...

impressive you remembered the thread and awakened it, when this came Osoab!

What you don't know is that those grand juries were seated in Travis County, the bastion of libtards.
