View Full Version : Gungrabbers on the move

Since they cannot manage to get any traction on banning guns themselves, they are now making a big push on curtailing sales of ammo and hi-cap magazines, since "just anyone can walk into a store and buy bullets and those large clips without any sort of restrictions, and we ought to have the same restrictions in place for bullets and large clips as we do for *firearms*".

That sounds like a reasonable enough proposal, doesn't it? At least that's the way they're trying to package it on the Communist News Network.

Oh, and I forgot to mention how very sad all of the CNN folks were that they couldn't get to interview Giffords (while mentioning she's a moderate gun owner) and find out her take on new (gun or ammo) restrictions. It's quite a spectacle watching the gungrabbers climb over all the dead and wounded before the blood even dries.

Restricting magazine capacity will only make people buy larger, deadlier calibers.

30 rd Glock mags will be going for tripple diggits before the month is done

4 figures when they are outright banned.

Playing around I made a three clips slider .......they sit almost side by side and after you use one clip you pull it dowh slide the next clip to the left and push up and so on with the next one.......it takes on about two seconds...........or........you can make them into a cilp star so that when you use one clip you then take it out and turn it over 45 degrees to use the next one, never used this one but in Cuba I saw one of the rebels with one of them, I believe that the clips were welded together.

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my bonus check I should be receiving soon. part of me says buy more ammo (rifle caliber...I have like 4000 rounds of 9mm, I shouldn't need more then that for a long time) but another part of me says buy silver (comex defaulting, settling in paper, etc) and another tinier part says buy a Kel Tec Sub 2000 in case they try another "assault weapons" ban. ARGH, I just don't know what to do!

I personally don't see the need for a 33 round glock magazine. They look ridiculous even in the large glock 17. I don't think I would ever own one. I don't want them banned though. Its easy to ID a gang banger when they have a shoulder holstered glock with a 33 round mag sticking out the bottom of it (saw it in a walmart in AZ when I lived there, mexican dude, white wife/girlfriend and a little baby). Also, I'm sure there are some out there that just like them.

They are nice at the range so you dont have to constantly reload. :P

I dont know if I'd go run out and start buying guns and ammo in a frenzy. Reports are coming in that they are already starting, glocks in particular are getting bought up like crazy as well as the high cap mags.

We are seeing a LOT of bills being introduced, many are not going anywhere. These bills are just sitting around and waiting, make no mistake. It is still very possible that more restrictions will come from this, but its not set in stone.

Its like in 08-09 when everyone was sure martial law was coming and obama would take all the guns, wasr 10 AK's were going for $8-900 and you couldnt find some calibers of ammo for months, literaly. Well, sanity came back and prices came down and a lot of people were left with crates of $800 rommy's they couldnt give away.

Just be smart is all. If you want a gun, get one, but dont get one out of panic.

ETA:

WHat I see as the most likley infringments to come from this, if any, will be limits on bulk ammo purchases and how much ammo one can store (which only matters after the fact anyways) and possibly, at the most extreme, paper work being required for ammo purchases.

Or possibly something along the lines of what they do with over the counter cold medicines where its linked through your drivers license and if you are buying "too much" youll get a visit. Again, thats likley at the most extreme end of the possibilities. Just my .02

How they look I could care less.....the ability to hold substaintal ammo is of key importance to out lasting the enemy.

Did you ever see the movie version of "The Road"?

See how bold a intruder gets when he thinks he know how much ammo you carry.

Buy some reloading gear , dies (for all calibers you own), powder , bullets and primers for what you
shoot.

Good investment and will pay back the cost of the equipment in time. Get into the habit of picking up
all your and others brass. ;D

In the long run you will not regret it!

Not in ILL. You have to have your FOID card to buy ammunition too.

Further proof that the leftist MSM is totally full of sheet in trying to link wacko killer to conservative speech:

they're already changing language, like moving global warming to climate change.

the libs i know on facebook have now shifted the argument to: "it doesn't matter if he wasn't incited by conservatives. the next guy WILL be incited by republicans, so we have to shut them up before there is a next guy."
