HUGE California Traffic Tickets Fines Effective 01/06/2011

Please be extremely careful in your driving and car registration & insurance matters. State of California is broke and they are trying hard to squeeze all of us hard to collect money.

Effective immediately, if you do not stop at the red light, be ready to pay $436 in fines or if you pass a school bus with flashing red signals, you will be charged $616. The state of California is going for blood, so be extra careful in driving, You cannot afford messing with them. I have been hearing that Highway Patrols are under pressure to issue a lot more tickets than last year with at least 30% increase in fines over 2009, so beware of radar guns, highway and traffic cameras installed everywhere and the tougher enforcement of parking rules.
Just for your info, the next time you park in the handicapped zone, even for a minute, you will be looking at almost $ 1000 in parking tickets , so it'd better be worth it.

California needs money, so pay close attention to the rules of the road!

General my friend, how much does it take to make you GTFO of Cali, or at least to somewhere in Cali that's not as oppressive? Not that there's any utopia to relocate to but I'm assuming you have the means to if it came right down to it. I live in what you would probably call bum fvck but I'm even feeling the need to GTFO a little further and away from the fray.

This week I got my 1st ticket in 6 years living back in California. Cell phone ticket and it is $150. I asked if it was $25, he said yes, but fees would make it $150. So these tickets listed i'm assuming include the extra fees already.

So you are 100% right on with this thread, I only made it 1 week into 2011.

I received a ticket for allegedly following too close and the bail that I sent in along with my written declaration was $235.00. I'm awaiting the decision, but I'm assuming I'll have to still go to court since the issuing CHP was the vehicle I was allegedly following too close. ;D I've drawn this out so long with waiting until the last minute to send in the letter of declaration and file extensions, that it will be close to a year before the alleged violation goes to trial. I live in a training area for the CHP and Ponch will be gone by then.

Thanks for the info.

I'm only staying in California since I woke up to all this sh*t just within the past few years (I attribute it to GiM1). I should be in my last semester of college right now, and would like to move to another state once I'm finished. Believe me, I openly tell everyone I hate the state, and I'm sick of all the Fascist BS going on here. Several of my family members have already moved to Texas over the past year too. One even is going to work in Canada apparently since the job market is so bad, and gonna send money back to California. Reminds me of all the illegal aliens who have done the same, coming to California to send money back to Mexico.

He isn't going to pay. He gets written up and of course never shows up to pay the fine. Who even knows if Don Pedro is really Don Pedro when he doesn't have any license or ID?

In most areas, Don would be taken in for identification. However, in certain cities there's so many of them, and so much crime, that can't happen...so he gets written up and set free. His thumb print on the ticket for 'something', doubt that even helps though.

In some areas, 50% of the drivers either don't have insurance or a driver's license. Yes, that high of a percentage. It is a big problem, imo..and nothing gets done about it.

I'm for giving back kalifornia to let them turn it into a third world sh!thole like the one they fled.
I work in Kalifornia to suck as much as possible out while contributing as little as possible.
I take my money to a more free state to keep and spend.
Don Pedro will not have to pay the oppressive fines in Kalifornia and will always be let go when stopped.
There is nothing to extract from him.
The next time he is stopped his name will be Juan Sanchez and so on.
The laws were designed to shake out the working citizens pockets.

i look at these numbers and i think - California is imploding.

that old term - "highway robbery".

when the state robs the People to pay the state's expenses - and the state happens to practice nepotism in hiring that favors certain ethnic groups ... like i said, California is imploding.

i mean, i know these are just traffic fines, and the total revenues collected will probably be less than $1 Billion per year ... BUT STILL !

laws like this pit the State against the People - accelerating a trend that was already accelerated on 9-11-2001.

Holy Moses.

Fees attached to fines.... seriously, wtf is the difference? FEE FOR WHAT?

to be honest, i think the prices will be going up.

and they'll be relying more and more on video surveillance & automated ticketing software, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and similar technologies, to write the tickets.

for example
http://www.video-surveillance-guide.com/traffic-enforcement-cameras.htm

http://www.andrewsenior.com/technical/surveillanceclass/

so as a techno-response to the government's techno-fascism, one possible response is an LCD license plate.

it has your real license # in case you get pulled over, it has a fake license for the video cameras to look at.

another technology to counter the government's techno-fascism would be to use Google maps' API for people to type in cop car locations on their cell-phones, to get a live map of where all the cruisers are located. sort of like when people flash their brights if there's a cop car, but using an iPhone or something.

Idiots, masochists, illegals . . . and liberal multi-millionaires.

If you were a liberal multi-millionaire, whose vision of paradise was threatened only by the continued (vestigial) existence of a socially conservative middle class, these outrageous fines (and California’s idiotic gun laws) would seem eminently reasonable.
