Tell me about it......2.5 years there with sometimes temperature in the -60 degrees.....a Cuban in Alaska HA.
I tell people that if Heaven is cold I'd rather go to Hell.

sharks don't like water that cold.
that is a sincerely large advantage.
with the right gear, which is a big "if", as long as you keep moving in cold water, you stay warm.
but the Arctic wind on your face ... yes now that is cold.
in the picture, it looks like they are surfing on snow covered water. never seen that before.

Yeah, they ain't ripping and shredding those waves. They're taking care that they don't get wet. Even using paddles.
