The Glock 18 is a selective fire variant of the Glock 17, developed at the request of the Austrian counter-terrorist unit EKO Cobra. This machine pistol-class firearm has a lever-type fire-control selector switch, installed on the serrated portion of the rear left side of the slide. With the selector lever in the bottom position, the pistol will shoot fully-automatic, and with the selector lever in the top position, the pistol will fire semi-automatically. The firearm is typically used with an extended 33-round capacity magazine, although other magazines from the Glock 17 will also function, with available capacities of 10, 17, or 19 rounds. Early Glock 18 models were ported to reduce muzzle rise during automatic fire.

Porting is great up untill that big orange ball in the sky takes a nap behind the horizon.

Glock 18's are cool I wonder how much the tax stamp is on that one?

and I doubt many were in the country when the ban whent down so It is probably expensive as all get out.

unfortunately all Glock 18's are "post sample" guns, which means they are not transferable to civilians. :-\

I asked about the G-18 before, here and BlackBlade said that you need a Class III license.

4th post in this thread here:

I haven't seen BlackBlade posting here much lately. I liked his reviews that he put up.

Now.

Imagine if you COULD get your hands on a G-18, with 33 round mags, and then you bought the Fab-Arms KPOS rig for it.

That would kick ass for sure.

The stock folds in so you can shoot single handed or double handed (If you're right handed) and there are weaver rails all over that thing. I would love to have one, but the jews want $400 for it.

meh... I'm not too impressed with an auto glock.

It's neat I guess, but it'd be an ammo-burner, and I'm plenty happy with my glock 19.

Eh, it really isnt as bad as its been made out to be. And certainly no worse than the flash coming out of a short barreled gun where the powder hasnt been burnt up yet.

There are some ammo makers out there who have designed their rounds to flash closer to the red spectrum of colors, rather than yellow, orange or white, so as not to blind the shooter, but they are kinda expensive.

Now, get into the larger calibers, or into rifles and theres a big difference. A .44 mag will certainly give off much more of a flash than even a .45, and especialy more than a .40 or 9.

Naaaahhh. Rather than adding all that spiffy tactikewl crud to a G18, why not just start with a nice HK MP5K?

We can't own them I canada, I don't think.

I wouldn't own a G18 if I could, but it speaks well for the durability/reliability of Glock.

Really? I would if I could. Just for fun.

But yeah, the Glock is a dependable workhorse.

I never had any ambitions of owning a full auto firearm. A full auto .223 would be much more practical, IMO.

Yes, but I think it would be cheaper to reload ammo as well as buy factory ammo for a fully auto G18 over a .223.

But I get it. Some people aren't into the full auto pistols. I know I would take one in a heartbeat if it was available to me.
