Is this the end of marriage? (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-202835/Is-end-marriage.html)

by STEVE DOUGHTY, Daily Mail

The word 'marriage' is to be purged - in the cause of equality for homosexuals. References to it will be removed from Government records and documents.

The institution of marriage will effectively be swept aside from almost every role of the state - including benefits, taxation and immigration law.

It could even be wiped from future state records, statistics and censuses. The ban will be brought in with the 'gay marriage' laws to be announced in the Queen's Speech today.

With no marriage then the words "divorce" and "alimony" shall surely soon fall into disuse and the creation of a child shall stem from the same misadventure as an automobile collision.

A hillbilly was hauled into court concerning custody of a child. When the judge asked him if he had anything to say he responded:

"Judge, if I put a dollar bill in a candy machine and the machine returned a candy bar, would the candy bar belong to me or the machine?"

Amazing that they will go through with this.

I've always felt that a marriage should have nothing to do with the state.

I expect it will get diluted somehow though, such that a marriage automatically enters you into a "partnership" and therefore another contract with the state. It just seems like too much power for them to give up.

At this point in history, a young loving couple has to be insane to get married 'legally.' The government has become nothing but an albatross, obligation and invitation to legal entanglement to marriage. The state has betrayed the time-honored and holy union of man and woman to defer to the homosexuals. The government has become nothing more than an affliction, a cancer on society. Government has signed it's own death warrant with this edict.
