Greenspan's a good example of how politics can ruin a person. I think he's a bright guy, but not the Maestro that he was made out to be. Politics taught him how to be an effective deceiver. I want to avoid the term "liar" because he was very good at spinning words and tone to avoid outright lies. But he made decisions and statements that perpetuated the fraud. With every passing month removed from his chairmanship, I think he's getting a little more honest with the public.
I feel very much the same way about Bernanke. A smart guy who knows he's being paid to deceive. They probably have to convince themselves, with the support of the administration, that they are doing the right thing.

How serendipidous he should "find religion" when it become clearer by the day how much corruption he oversaw and facilitated.
Glad he finally saw the error of his ways and came over to "our side"

I think he's always had religion, but felt obligated to keep it to himself. That's my point, what politics will do to you.

Why didn't he ask him if he has repented for the economic destruction of the U.S.?
