This was one of my moms favorite things to make our kids when she was alive and would put it in check book boxes and wrap them up. They loved it.
It is not cheap or without sugar, but once in a while so good.
This will make a cookie sheet:
In a kettle put: 2 pkg. semi sweet choc chips.
3 of the large hershey bars
1 pint marshmallow creme
I throw in a couple hand fulls of almonds
1 cup walnuts chopped
Put this in a preheated oven, I do about 250-275 degrees
Then in another good kettle put: 4 1/2 cups sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 cube butter
1/2 tsp salt
Stir until a rolling boil and time for 4 minutes, stirring most of the time. Take off stove and add 2 tsp. vanilla. Take other kettle out of oven and add this and stir fast and mix well.
Pour onto slightly buttered cookie sheet and spread out evenly. I bang the pan on the counter to get it even.
Make sure the stuff in the oven has softened enough before you add the boiled mixture, I usually stir it a time or two to make sure.
Anyone who loves fudge usuallys says they have never tasted some so good..
Forgot to add that this fudge NEVER sugars..
