Long story short, a 25 year old texting female RIP'd my last car several months ago on the highway. She had to be texting or narcoleptic?, as I had been fully stopped, at heavy traffic for about 15 seconds (she hit me from behind at about 50 miles/hr).

I was pushed into he car in front of me, this driver's air bag goes off, and now the driver is completely unconscious, horn is wailing on solid, and he just keeps driving/plowing into into the car in front of him for about a good 30 seconds.

Fortunately my seat broke backwards taking up a lot of the impact, which helped my outcome tremendously.

I'm amazed someone can additionally consume time and money on their behalf under those circumstances. The first thing she said to me when I spoke to her WTH was "you were stopped, and I hit you" I made sure this went into the police report.

This girl did not have any insurance.

Even more "bizarro world" is both my name and address are spelled wrong on the summons. ?!?

A couple of years ago I got rearended at a stopsign. I thought, this is an open and shut case, damage in the back of the car, police report, no prior accidents...all set. Wrong. The insurance company refused to pay (both insurance companies) because the woman claimed the damage was already there on my car. I had to sue the insurance company before they would pay (they eventually paid before court, but it was a huge hassle).

Oh the joys of dealing with the insurance companies (limited liability).
