How they pick a target? Where they fence their stole merchandise?
Do they live in the community or move from city to city?
Where do they get their training?
Any items targeted more than others?

Nowadays they stick to big cities. Their base is in Tel Aviv, although they have been very active in London and New York City, their gang hideout is known as "wall street" They move more country to country than city to city, but they steal so much entire countries are left in ruin in their wake.

It's my understanding that there are bands of traveling break in / burglary perps who move north with the spring thaw, taking advantage of the fact that people have been cooped up in their homes all winter and want to get outside, leaving their doors unlocked. Others case streets in McMansion subdivisions and watch to see who is home / never home. Casing is done by jogging through the neighborhood, dog walking, driving through, etc. They will hit every unoccupied home on the same day and then leave town.

I know that much of the crap sold in 99cent stores is stolen merchandise.
Today with the kind of panopticon electronic surveillance that we have, stealing ain`t what it used to be.
Trying to steal less than a million today is the height of stupidity.

A guy i met at a local gun show confided in me today he was hit last summer.
$75000.00 worth of firearms and parts mostly magazines gone and they were locked up.
He figures they targeted him through the internet as that is where he does most of his business.

But many work alone and do it just for the hell of it, even if they don't need the money.......is a challenge that they imposed on themselfe to keep in shape........of course I am not talking about myself, other wise how could I be Saint Ponce? ::)

what are the sentencing guidelines in your state in case of 75k worth of stolen guns?
Assuming that they already have a felony, seems like they are looking at 10-life in the can, including all the gun charges. ???

They are very determined, they think outside the box and do not give up.
There are lots of fence's and many times they point crew to targets.

Locks only keep honest people honest.
Locks do nothing to stop determined thieves.
