GRRRR! :redfc
Had to fill up the bike this morning here in Oakland, CA (getting 50 mpg means not too often) - paid $3.99/gal for premium at the "discount" gas station [Costco is usually about $0.10 cheaper].
I'm guessing I'll see $5.00/gal by Memorial day.

On the plus side, high gas prices will keep the niggers from spreading out too much from their inner city hellholes.

It does not do as much good as you'd think. The public transit system is fairly good (BART & buses), and since we're in Kaliforniastan everyone qualifies for a free/subsidized pass.
Turns out that the neighborhood with the West Oakland BART parking lot (commuters park their cars and BART into SF) is one of the top ten car theft neighborhoods in the US.
BART to West Oakland, "borrow" a car, then you are free to roam far and wide (regardless of gasoline prices). The latest stunt has been to wait in upscale (i.e., not near public transit services) supermarket parking lots and look for women who went to the store alone, then follow the woman as she drives home, then they mug the her as she gets out of the car at her home.

BTW - here in Kaliforniastan I think all the blends of gas have ethanol blended in.

All gas everywhere except premium in certain states has ethanol.
I got 89 with ethanol 170 gallons today at 2.87 from farm supplier, and off-road diesel for 3.20. I probably should have paid the tax for the road diesel as it will take a long time to use that up off road. The diesel is mostly preps and for the farm vehicles.

Say hi to the old siphon-the-gas-tank trick, or perhaps these days, punch a hole in the gas tank, in the middle of the night, or even during the day as the vermin get incrementally bolder.
