Drudge is reporting in the last little while, Pres. Sarkozy has thrown the French Govt's Official recognition behind the Rebels, and authorized the exchange of Ambassadors between the Rebel transition govt and the French.

Wonder if that has anything to do with this? And just before the March 11th "event" planned in many locales. hmmm

MN...gold just hit an airpocket....it'll get through $1444...just not right away...of course, unless something blows a gasket over the weekend.
:dunno

I think the PIMCO selling off UST has something to do with this drop, however, I am not ruling out the FED/TBTF are tanking everything today in prep for tomorrow's day of rage in Saudi.

The Saudi's began opening fire on the people a little while ago. We could see (hopefully not) $200 oil next week. God knows what that will do to the markets.

I confess to a certain amount of "want them to get what's comin' to them after nationalizing our refineries during Eishenhower admin," the sheetheads!
So, I guess we'll have to gentlemanly disagree on this "not wanting to see ..." part, Bb.
