It sends out structure infared light which allows it to track the movement and location of people and objects in a room. By knowing where a person is physically, users can interact with games, such as by sword fighting, etc. People are using this ability to track someone in conjunction with an image projected on a TV. When someone moves, they change the screen on the tv in the exact proper way to make it seem like its changing their perspective on what they're looking at.
