The LAPD and other law enforcement are converging at Charlie Sheen's house in a pre-planned raid.

Sources tell us the LAPD has been conducting an investigation into criminal activity -- possibly drugs or weapons. And someone who is at the house tells us cops may be attempting to put Charlie on an involuntary -- 5150 -- psychiatric hold.

The only answer I come up with is this: When I was a little boy in Hebrew school the rabbis regularly told us that we were the chosen people. That we were God's favorites. Which is all well and good except that I went home, observed my family and, despite my tender age, thought to myself, "bull$#*!."

UPDATE 10:22PM PT: Law enforcement sources tell us LAPD has wrapped up their search. Charlie was not arrested ... and we're told he was very cooperative.

UPDATE 10:42PM PT: Charlie's attorney Mark Gross says police found one rifle -- from the 1800s -- and "a few bullets." He says Charlie has no other weapons in the house. Gross also confirmed that police were executing a search warrant in response to a complaint from someone -- he didn't know who -- making a statement about Charlie and a gun.

A police search at the Los Angeles home of actor Charlie Sheen failed to unearth weapons that would have violated a court order against him, a lawyer for the star said.

Police found only bullets and an antique rifle in the search linked to a temporary restraining order filed against Sheen last week by his ex-wife.

The raid occurred on the same day the actor filed a $100m (£62m) lawsuit against CBS claiming he was wrongly sacked from the sitcom Two and a Half Men. Sheen had been the highest paid actor on US TV in his leading role on the show, playing a hard drinking bachelor loosely based on his own life.

You know Charlie Sheen is a jew too, right?

He might not really consider himself one, but his mother is jewish, so he is a jew.

And his ex-wife is jewish, so his kids are jews too.


That being said, he's been more entertaining the past couple months than "Two and a Half Men" ever was.

The dangerous posts, which have also popped up on Twitter, typically start, "Exclusive Video," "RIP!" or "Breaking News." They go on to say "Charlie Sheen found Dead at his House" or some variation and include a link to a site that appears to be fueling the rumor.

Pretty spooky, considering who runs the media.
