Go long Yen. It had a very strong rise this morning. Japan will be forced to not buy European bonds like they were planning and all that currency will be spent within the country on rebuilding efforts.

They will pull their investments abroad, to pay for reconstruction at home. A financial tsunami, with plunging stock and bond prices will come, look out below.

Quite a turnaround silver had today, btw, may not be related though...

Time of sorrow and time of shame from those who only think of profit in a time like this...where we should exted our hads whit help we extended to get money from them.........Are we Jews?

What happened in Japan will happen in the US WTSHTF where the rich will profit more and then let the little people fight for the left over...............like a posted long ago "The situation in the US will bad NOT because of what will happen but rather because the people will make it worse".............

First post of the day.......good morning to one and all and my tears for the people of Japnn.

Japan was the number 2 buyer of treasuries behind the Fed. Now that they have more pressing needs for their yen/dollars, the Fed is going to have to pick up the slack. QE 3, 4, 5, etc.

Nuclear is dead, long live king coal.

that's a classic pic. they look like leaves or something.

as far as how to profit from it - i couldn't help but wonder if Israel has "aid" workers prepared and ready to go harvest some organs - like they did in Haiti.

I think Japan is screwed. They financed a bunch of huge infrastructure projects to boost the economy - many bridges to nowhere. The buyers of these bonds were mostly the Japanese citizens. OK, now why would Japan service a bond for a bridge that is no longer there? This will end badly.

Methinks Japan will be dumping their vast store of Treasuries to finance the rebuild.

Another reason the dollar is dead.

If you are using anything that is made in Japan then go ahead and get a few extra itmes NOW, it wil take a few months for Japan to go back to a semi normal state........by that time THSHTF could be going on right here in the US.

Poor Japanese, they let the Rockefellers and their allies into their country after WWII. No doubt they have their own evil Japanese elite screwing them too. Boy, to have people of your own race phucking you over is a bitter pill to swallow, they a small minority. I like Japanese people, sad...

I would invest in whatever state owned Chinese company is heading over there.

This is an excellent opportunity for China to get a foothold in Japan.
