If you go over the picture with you mouse you see the difference. Some places are just GONE, nothing left but a pile of broken dreams and trash.

The real death toll will be of between 26,000 and 50,000 and not the 1,000 that they keep on talking about.

When I saw the tsunami live on TV, I said it was going to be at a minimum 10K, but 26 - 50K dead would not surprise me at all. :boohoo

Yeah, the death toll just has to be enormous. While they were pretty well prepared for the Quakes, that Tsunami hit them
fast, without warning. Nobody evacuated before it struck. I expect everyone in those towns and neighborhoods were obliterated
right along with everything else.
Also, I wonder what flooding beautiful farmland with (salty) sea water will do to its future fertility?

The death toll has to be far greater then the numbers they are reporting when you see images such as these

With the current model of Keynesian politics, the treasury will claim it as an asset, build a zero cost, zero energy museum around it.

thanks for the link.
yeah !
i thought, "they did that with Flash", but it looks like HTML5 or something.
i hadn't looked at a map of Japan until today. this incident is consuming the entire North End - and it sounds like it's heading towards Tokyo, which is sort of in the north-middle.
i don't understand how they can come up with predictions like, "it will reduce Japan GNP by 3 to 5%". it seems more heavy-duty than that - just for Japan.
