Thanks Antonio. This documentary should be mandatory for anyone and everyone who deigns to have an opinion on nuclear power.
Better we should live as the Amish than to poison our unborn children and their inheritance. What we leave behind is the only testament to our quality as people.

People who say a Chernobyl-like incident is the worst case scenario clearly haven't watched these videos. If anything, a Chernobyl may be one of the better scenarios.
Japan better have some modern-day Samurai willing to die to avert a greater disaster like Russia did.

I said on Feb21 in the "It is accelerating" thread that I will never call anything SHTF except multiple reactors popping. I also posted this same video in that thread as the example of what the conduct must be when SHTF. S hits TF only when people have to go 100% certain deaths.

Go visit Elaina's site for a lot of information and pictures about Chernobyl. She sent me a coffee table book last year crammed with pictures. Reality isn't very hart warming. As Far as I know she still brings food to the old people (not many) who never left the area.

I remember that, I didn't watch those videos then, but I'm watching them right now. On #2.

From the part 5 and on you can see men with the biggest balls ever. Whenever I feel down I tell myself to remember them and nothing seems unsurmountable. Watch them, it is therapeutic.

News media and govt:
Small thing, nothing to really worry about-------same------same-----OH SHIT.
A lot of very brave men bit the big one to get it under control.

After watching that I was going to say something like "Being on the west coast doesn't seem so bad anymore" but radiation seems like really nasty stuff and I wouldn't want to be exposed to it at all.
Some of the stuff they did to contain Chernobyl seemed a little reckless but on the other hand they had to act immediately and didn't have any prior experience with a disaster such as this.
