No- not even close. The arrival should be in Oct 2011. It is still way out there... but travelling fast.

In another few months we should have some idea where the truth is.

As a side thought, if this comet thing is really much bigger than they are leading us to believe..... that is, if it has some real gravitational effects already, then we will see deadly effects before October. Watch for strange things from July on.

If it is just a debris field that we have coming, the skies will be lighting up with meteors unlike any we have seen in our lifetimes... and the dust will blot out much light from the sun.

It is already about as close to the earth but what happens on that day is the perfect alignment as a full moon. We may see nothing happen then... but this 2 week window around it is critical.

2 weeks later we have a new moon, with similar alignment. The earth is feeling tugs and anything that can slip wil slip.
