Apparently Jim Berkland correctly predicted quake that hit San Fran during the World Series, 4 days prior to when it struck - he is on Fox News warning that this month is again a danger zone for the eastern side of the Pacific rim ("siesmic window" approx the next 2 weeks):

Great, just great, more fricken DOOM. Guess I'll be going to Costco at lunch to stock up. What sucks for me is that on the 19th I'll be going to Bakersfield for Enzo training and leave my other dog Indy home. I think I might have to bring her with me, that way if SHTF, I won't have a reason to get home.

DAMN !
the audio on my computer is not working.
what's he saying ?
if he is predicting for this time period then it is likely that he is correlating the extreme perigee of the moon to earthquake causality.

Exactly what he ties it to.

It has been awfully quiet in terms of earthquakes around here (Turkey), the last few weeks. I don't like it, because it is a sign of building up pressure, and with the close moon, it is worrying! But the common knowledge says that approximately every 30 years is a big one in Istanbul region. Last one was in 1999, with around 40.000 dead, and that one was around 7.5 on the Richter scale. The house we live in is very well built (a couple of years after the quake) and only 4 stories high...

i got a chance to watch it on the computer at the bank.
in addition to the simple physics which caused me to be concerned, he cites other indicators (recent animal behavior) and causes (earth's magnetic axis moving, movements in the groundwater.)

Funny how I read that as "recent FEMA behaviour".
I'm not kidding.

As a PNW resident, these interviews with Berkland had me prepping extra hard today.

That one in Japan might be enough to push it a little further round the ring this time...?

This week is not the end. Two weeks later we have a new moon and the perigee is still pretty close.
I would also, then, warn about the 28Mar-4Apr window as still a strong hazzard time.

some of the animal kills are caused by drug smugglers, who use a phosphorescent dye to mark their drops, for pick-up. i.e. they drop drugs & dye in the ocean, then come back & pick them up.
animals, e.g. whales, get caught in the crossfire.
but that would only explain some animal fatalities.
that picture of the dead fish in Redondo Beach looks like the Gulf after the BP disaster.
i know that the US Navy does lots of classified experiments in the Pacific Ocean, among others, and doesn't worry too much if one of their accidents takes out a few animals.
but it certainly does seem like we are witnessing a recent sudden rise in confusion behavior in ocean wildlife, along with animal deaths.
i don't know what would kill the fish like that in such numbers. poison, or a thermal release of some kind. but loss of food sources would normally result in attrition, dying off one by one, not mass group deaths.
very strange.
is there an ichthyologist in the house ?
the geologist suggested that the shifting magnetic pole would disorient some animals. could that disorientation lead to mass group fish deaths ?
