Mine are 10 years old, and it says they expired in 07. I'd take them anyway, but will re-stock after this blows over. Any recommendation for foods to retard plutonium absorbtion? I understand it is absorbed as if it were calcium. Calcium supplements maybe, along with the seaweed for iodine?

Local walmart in Vantucky Wa. had Spring Valley brand Hair,Skin,Nails collagen support. Basically vitamin supplement, along with minerals. One of the ingredients happens to be Potassium Iodide, 3 tablet dose supplies 75% daily reccommended iodine supplement. 7.95 frn for 120 caplets. Added plus is that your hair and nails will look beautiful as the toxic cloud of death wafts thru the neighborhood................

A fool and his money will soon depart. No dangerous radiation will travel that far. When the price drops back down to normal, would be good to have some in case something local happens here.

Remember government first ...people last.

A number of stores across the west coast are reporting that they are completely sold out. And a pharmacist at a Walgreen’s in California told us that they would not be getting any more because the government has seized all supplies.

Fleming Pharmaceuticals, maker of ThyroShield a potassium iodide used in nuclear emergencies, said in a press release today that before the Japanese Quake the federal government already has stockpiled millions of doses. The company claims that some of the federal stockpile has expired and the remaining supply is set to expire over the year.

White House chief spokesman Jay Carney continued to tell the press that the U.S. is not in danger, but wouldn’t comment on the governments stockpiling program. :ROFL:

it's important to understand dosing & side effects for this stuff.

after you take it, stay near a toilet.

Side Effects -
* nausea
* diarrhea
* acne

it's normally prescribed by pharmacists, in liquid form, in conjunction with radiation therapy.

one drop is the typical dose - it's extremely potent.

this may be a case where the cure is worse than the disease.

of course, if you're inside throwing up you won't be as exposed to the radiation.

US Gov taking over supplies of KI:

A local radio morning show was taking calls about this subject yesterday. The caller said while she was at the pharmacy the pharmacist took at least four calls from people that were looking for KI... apparently she was telling them "we don't have any, don't worry, you don't need it!" The callers were persistent asking where they could find some in spite of what they were being told. One host of this show said she wanted to talk to the "crazy person" who wouldn't listen to this random pharmacist, who apparently is the ultimate authority on the subject. Two thoughts came to mind:

1. Either this pharmacist is unaware that KI is IN FACT valid protection against radioactive iodine poisoning, OR, she is a fucking liar. Considering she peddles dope for Big Pharma, and said industry would love to see massive cases of radiation poisoning as it would mean huge amounts of "treatment" money for them, I would go with the latter.... OR

2. This random pharmacist KNOWS FOR SURE that no one on the west coast will be exposed to radiation as a result of nuclear meltdown in Japan, while no one else in the world seems to be privvy to this knowledge.

After that short discussion they went into a story about Angelina Jolie.

We can expect this and much much more when the dollar collapses for silver. No amount of money will be spared for this tangible precious asset.
