Commanders in Afghanistan are bracing themselves for possible riots and public fury triggered by the publication of "trophy" photographs of US soldiers posing with the dead bodies of defenceless Afghan civilians they killed.
Senior officials at Nato's International Security Assistance Force in Kabul have compared the pictures published by the German news weekly Der Spiegel to the images of US soldiers abusing prisoners in Abu Ghraib in Iraq which sparked waves of anti-US protests around the world.
They fear that the pictures could be even more damaging as they show the aftermath of the deliberate murders of Afghan civilians by a rogue US Stryker tank unit that operated in the southern province of Kandahar last year.
Some of the activities of the self-styled "kill team" are already public, with 12 men currently on trial in Seattle for their role in the killing of three civilians.

I'm not sure if that picture is related to this current story. The image name suggests it is from Abu Ghraib so it might be from earlier times.

They will never come home, no jobs, no homes, outrageous commodities, they will live the rest of their lives at war, whether here or there.

I don't see this as individual incidents... this is an accurate representation of America's military occupation in other lands...

It was page 8 or 9 where they start to discuss planting guns to make the kills legitimate.
That means if they just know you or I have guns..it's all over. Gun=Guilty.
It's got the potential to be real ugly with a bunch of shit bags like this running around with patches/badges and guns.

that's a common trick they play in marijuana arrests - they say "the buy had 6 pounds of marijuana, 352 plants, and 3 guns, and $4000 in cash."
uh - so what ?
in California, in Mendocino, the rule of thumb among growers is to have a non-growing friend as part of the community, and he is the "designated gun guy". they do this specifically because of the way "Law enforcement" treats the combination of guns and marijuana.
