My REALLY little pony: Einstein, the world's smallest horse, gets set for first birthday With appearances on Oprah and across the U.S. it has certainly been an eventful first year for Einstein, the world's smallest horse. Standing just 20inches tall and weighing a tiny six lbs, he attracted huge media interest when he was born in April last year as thousands queued at a farm in Barnstead, New Hampshire for a glimpse of him. ...read

They had one picture where it was standing next to a Saint Bernard. I've had both a Saint Bernard and two different miniature horses so I can believe it. My dog was huge. Nearly the same size as the horses that we had. One horse was 25 inches at the shoulders and one was a bit larger at almost 30 inches.

I'm just wondering from looking at it, if it's fully grown yet. Doesn't look like it. I'll be surprised if it doesn't have health problems.

Yes! nunaem

There is an organization that trains miniature horses for handicapped individuals, in place of dogs. I remember seeing one clamber onto a public transit bus with a blind person in tow. Later in the story the horse curled up on the floor beside the favorite lounger was also featured. Pretty tidy and
the owner was quite smitten with the intelligent and facile horse.

I had a neighbor who bought some miniature horses for his wife. They made awful shrieking noises like monkeys. They got rid of the little horses.
