I see that no one has made a comment on this film.......that means that you don't know that this is what it was like in the "Edo" era of Japan when they didn't have contact (on purpose) with the rest of the world for over 200 years..............they then stablished contact and all was gone to hell.........no longer was Katana vs katan but katana vs guns and cannons.

One of my favotire parts is when the young guy told the old man "But you don't have a lights here, is so dark at night" and the old man answered back "Night is supposed to be dark, why would we have light?, besides with light how could you see the stars".........the funeral in part two (see it) was just as good. A village without a church or a preacher and simply celebrated the death of anyone........I can now play the funeral march on my guitar.......love it.

Many things you don't see because you only know the present and didn't have the pleasure of experiencing the past.......in the US this also includes FREEDOM.

In the future we will be living like in the past because we won't have what we will need to live like in the present.............it will be a new chance to live in a new world.
