March Madness: Nanny State Runs Amok in Delaware as Govt Arbitrarily Tears Down 60-Year-Old Basketball Hoops (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/march-madness-nanny-state-runs-amok-in-delaware-as-govt-arbitrarily-tears-down-60-year-old-basketball-hoops/)

Back in my days as a kid, the person that called the town or reported this as an issue in the first place would wake up to broken car windows, flat tires and a house covered in egg yolks daily.

Welcome to a pussified America.

It blows my mind Mick. I've been thinking a lot recently about the stuff me and my friends did as kids, we'd probably be sent to GITMO today for just 1 of the probable 100's of stupid things we pulled back then.

*edit*

Is it the flouride/lithium in the water? Porn on demand? I just don't get how kids are so weak willed today.

You notice this appears to be in a "white" area. They know full well that whites, being the imasculated people they've become, won't be putting up too much of a fuss. If they even thought about doing this in a black neighborhood, of course they wouldn't even think of such a thing, there would be riots. I'm not advocating white chimpouts, but at some point we need to say enough is enough.

Yup. emasculated. I like how the guy say that he wrote them back about the hoops. That never does any good, remember the bail outs? This is basketball hoops. Like Twisted says "only thing that force respects is force." The only problem with that is though, is that if you do ANYTHING other then write a letter you will be charged with a crime and arrested. Good luck funding good jobs after that, been there done that. You just have to not give a fuck.

They know this, that's why they are going around muscling in a white suburban town. If they did this in the projects they would have dozens of blacks out in force acting a damn fool, trying to physically fight them. Which is why they would just do it in the middle of the night/early morning there, I've seen it. :) The State sucks, that's for sure.

Arrrrrgggggg :redfc

Son of a bitches! WTF? Try that shit in Kentucky and you'll find a shotgun in your face! What's the deal with the State trooper? fucking pussy! Had I been on the work crew I would have refused to participate as well. I've not been this angered in quite awhile, I feel a blood pressure spike. That whole scene is symbolic of the mess this country faces, bastards! I hope people of all ages who would otherwise shoot some hoops find other things to shoot at.

In a reprehensible bit of timing – what with it being March Madness and all – crews from the Delaware Department of Transportation began taking down basketball hoops in two neighborhoods in the city of Claymont that they say are in violation of the state’s Clear Zone Law “which prohibits hoops, trees, shrubs and other objects from being within seven feet of the pavement’s edge in subdivisions.” Owners of the basketball hoops which violated the law – eight in total – were originally ordered last fall to to take them down themselves but those who did not would have to foot the bill for crews to come out. As one might expect, the defenders of hoops freedom from these two neighborhoods were not going to allow the DOT to remove the hoops without incident, as protesters prompted the crews to call in the Delaware State Police to serve as escorts.
I guess they should have counter-offered?

or a blown up mailbox.

there was a newspaper article about a house under construction in Marin about 15 years ago. i guess someone was mad at the contractor. really nice house.

they hooked a tank of propane up the house. blew up the house, just like Brad Pitt/ Tyler Durden at the end of Fight Club. it was a real expensive house until it ceased to exist.

these are the kinda folks that support the local PD actions - glad to see them get a wake up call. Funny to see that guy cry about "you lied to me".

"go in your house"!!

It would be great too see how much that little action cost the guy crying.... heavy equipment lots of city workers there doing the job that 1 guy and a flatbed F150 could have done.....maybe put a note out a week in advance letting them know that they have installed something on city property and if it is not removed - it will be confiscated.

"without a badge and a gun - what have ya got? A sucka in a uniform waiting to get shot...."

Ain't no "basically" about it, they are thieves through and through to the core. The problem here is that they never met any real resistance, group resistance or radical resistance. These ass hats should be strung up at sun up!
