He was saying something about inactive reserve units being set up, not active reserve units but INactive. this should scare some peeps if it can be verified.

They should'nt recall me as I would be expensive as an E-6 Cryptotech with 17.5 years of getting the big haze gray shaft A.K.A. experience with a now 50% disability.

A word for all of you even if you have never served and are drafted, show up to your appointed place when called (unless of course there is massive draft resistance and you wanna join the party). After you arrive absolutely REFUSE to sign anything. They can draft you as much as they like but still in the end have to get you to volunteer. Say something akin to signing that document means I am in collusion with and agreeing to the commission of illegal/unconstitutional wars and crimes against humanity etc. You will get harassed severely for a week maybe even two or three but if you don't sign you'll ultimately get a bus ticket home.

You may very well be labeled section 8 (insane) by doing this...... Your choice....

You’ve just reminded me of a great post, on the old GIM site, by Tennessee Andy.

I wish I would have saved it, but no, it all disappeared.

Anyhow, best as I can recall, when Andy showed up for his Viet Nam draft notice, someone else reported, but had no intention of swearing the oath. After a bunch of berating, the processing center eventually let him leave. He couldn’t be legally processed under the UCMJ, as he never entered the military, and he did show up for his draft notice, so he was in the clear there as well.

Yes Guard, the way it works is that you have to register, when they call in you have to go in for the physical...but when drafted, call you in, and tell you to "step forward" DON'T DO IT.........they will harras you and might even put you in jail overnight, but then they have to let you go...........and that's it.
