Subject line says it all. Simple question, but just curious what you guys use. I am thinking about getting Celtic salt for the first time, from here http://www.celticseasalt.com/ Any thoughts?

For you advocates of Sea Salt:
Please do a quick search of how Sea Salt is gathered and processed.

We mine salt in the Dominican Republic.

I would be thrilled to death to discuss and enlighten you!

We mine our salt in the Dominican Republic commercially--800,000 tons per year.

For our own use we go through a cleaning process and re-crystalize.

Been doing it for years.

Peruvian pink sea salt, Himalayan pink sea salt, Celtic gray sea salt and Kala Namak black salt are the salts in my pantry.

Just for the sheer hell of it, do some research to see how sea salt is collected and mined. And after you do please think back to the times you were on the beach. Weren't the sea gulls sitting on the highest part. Like the top of the piles of salt. And the manufacturers wash the piles with sea water to get rid of the bitterns, and let the piles drain that liquid off. Over several days.

Good look out points.

Thanks for the link!

From the Gamma salt website:

With the ocean becoming increasingly polluted, sea salt is far from ideal. Recent government warnings about the increased levels of mercury in our oceans limit us to eat fish only once or twice a month.

Hmmm....didn't Japs just pump a million gallons of harmless radioactive water into the sea(salt)?

Just a little DOOOOOM for ya!

I've used that salt for years, and have a special grinder for it. It's quite grey, from all the minerals. And because it has a lot of minerals, it doesn't taste as salty as bone-white purified salts that are almost all sodium chloride.

Do you own a company that does this CC? I am real curious about your product. Where is it mined? Is it an ancient deposit or are you using sea water? What is the mineral profile? Do you market it?

CC, do you have a link to your product? I'll throw a few shekels towards a GSUS'ers work. I'm always curious to try new salts.
