If you want to know the TRUE nature of government, just look at today's "shutdown" for evidence. They are talking about what branches will remain open, and what will be closed down.

ANYTHING WITH A GUN will continue operating... they won't shut down the military, the ATF, the DOJ, etc. etc. etc.

Government is force - pure and simple. Raw, coercive, deadly FORCE. They will NEVER willingly relinquish that force, unless presented with equal or superior force. Force is the ONLY language they understand, and the ONLY master they bow down to.

They can't really shut down the government. More than half the country gets checks from the government. People whose paychecks are cut off will get pissed real fast. They can only cut off the people with the least political clout. The ones who, if they get cut off, can't do anything about it.

Our political system is in a death spiral. But the elite have given them orders not to die just yet--not until they can trot out the One World Government that everyone will beg for when the money is worthless, and they can't get gas for their cars, or food to eat. A government shutdown is meaningless right now. It will shut down soon when the dollar collapses.

I was chuckling about this on an unrelated board yesterday.

They are going to shut down the processing of tax refunds, but I'll bet they have plenty of clerks working to process the check I had to send in.

They ain't shutting down, they are playing games.
