It's a cool error, but no way in hell it's rare enough to fetch that much money. I've seen some real retarded ebay auctions, once a guy had a common modern cent that looked like it had been burned in a fire (splotches and blisters), and he called it a mint error and since he couldn't find any documentation about what caused it he listed it for a hundred thousand dollars as a one-of-a-kind error.

A cool error, but no 12 million dollar one. Theres a guy I used to see every month at the local coin shows who deals only in mint errors. hes had some ones similar to this. Never a double denomination, but pennies struck on dime blanks and vise versa.

The one of the collest ones he had was a quare struck on a nickle. It went over the edges, obviously, but it was pretty neat. They were always too expensive for my wallet, but certainly NOT 12 million dollar expensive.

Can't remember, but didn't the Treasury auction off one of those '33 Double Eagles that escaped the melt-down for $7m or so? ...I'd DAMN sure rather have one of those than an error coin....unless it was an error gold coin ;)

My all time favorite error coin is an Indian Head cent struck on a gold quarter eagle planchet.
