This is definitely one of those "oh shit" situations for this guy. Dead wife #1's family filed a civil lawsuit claiming there is a "climate in APD allowed for unchecked fraternization and rampant extramarital affairs." So Officer Chavez is looking like he's been doing double duty, especially when you factor in the lawsuit also claims that responding Albuquerque PD intentionally trampled evidence. How does a police wife die from a Albuquerque PD service weapon in her own mouth when the weapon's legal owner does not have custody? How many service weapons are these guys issued for crying out loud? And it seems to me if she knew he was prowling around she would have aimed it at him not offed herself with a cavalier palate shot. I'll bet he wishes he never got involved with wife #2 and the whole thing would just go away. Plus he's been working an administrative gig at the city pound. If your family pet inadvertently fell into their custody I suspect someone's golden retriever wouldn't be coming home. In the end the guy is just a loser in a lot of trouble but he's got an ace defense lawyer: http://www.davidcserna.com/

Take a look at the SIU (Special Investigation Unit) stats in Ontario. Thousands of cases, zero convictions.
Special Investigation.....Ya, I know what that means.

I know man. I know there is a thread about that somewhere, but I can't find it. I was going to link it.
Craziness. They basically promised to never go against an officer, and they never did.
