So this link shows a video, which explains something we have always known about the Dutch - if you are going to live there, they want you to learn the language.


The video goes on to state that all immigrants who do not speak the official language fluently will be kicked out in two years.

There are interviews with immigrants who will be affected, then there are interviews with the politicians who support the measures.

This video fits right in with what you guys talk about so I thought I'd submit it.

The video makes it sound like this is current Dutch law and that the Dutch have acted because their culture is otherwise disappearing.

The Dutch are a very pragmatic people. They want their country to be Dutch--not Islamic. I'm waiting to see when they start asking questions about who allowed all the immigrants to come to their country, and for what purpose? That must be a question that falls into the realm of political incorrectness, or we would have heard about it already.

My German grandparents learned to speak English quickly. It fact they saw it as a duty to intergrate into American life.

I see it as extremely disrepectful of someone to move to a country and have no respect for their language or way of life. The basic question of those types of people would be, "WHY THE HELL DID YOU MOVE THERE!!!!!". Go back to you own damn country if you want to speak Spanish, Arabic, Whatever!!. I would never dream of trying to live in Germany without learning to sprechen sie deutsch or live in a Latin American country without learning Spanish. Two years in an immersive environment should be enough to learn the language to a respectable level.

Lodewijk Asscher, Amsterdam's mayor, has ordered the new decoy strategy to cut the number of verbal and physical attacks on Jews, amid fears that anti-Semitic "hate crime" is on the rise.

"Jews in at least six Amsterdam neighbourhoods often cannot cross the street wearing a skullcap without being insulted, spat at or even attacked," according to local reports.
