Anybody tried this stuff?

I am looking into it. Just curious if anyone had tasted any of the entree's.

I've got plenty oatmeal and dehy / fruits and such so I'm not really looking to get into any of their "survival paks"

Just kinda curious as to the taste of the entrees and veggies.

Thx folks :)

I made a specialty order for a gluten-free version of the Liberty Unit like a week ago over the phone, but they still haven't E-mailed me or updated me on anything. I'm not to happy with the experience so far. It does say it ships in 2 weeks, so maybe it just takes a while? I don't know.

I'll let you know how it works out in the meantime.

what a scam. i got my "6 trial meals" today. they sent me:

1) a 5.7 ounce bag of potato soup marked "2 meals."
2) a 4.7 ounce bag of tortilla soup marked "2 meals."
3) a 6.3 ounce bag of chicken rice casserole marked "2 meals."

so 16.7 ounces ounces of food is 6 meals. for $15. i could have bought 5X this much food at the regular high-markup grocery store.

man, i hope so. bear creek soup mix is a 11.2 ounce bag, and i can get them for $4 each all day long. for $15 i could have bought LOTS more food than this. it better be really good.

UPS ground is over $11 for shipping to my area...so for me, it's $26. That's a lot for shipping for only 16 oz!

Weird, I checked again...now it's saying 6 free meals, with $15 shipping.

So, I ordered the same 6 meals, for $15. Did they change the offer or am I getting confused? I could have sworn it said 6 meals for $15, with $11 shipping.

Anyway, looks like I'll be trying it too!

Well- I cooked up the Chikin / rice and it wasn't bad. Not as pretty as the pics, but it was definately edible. Way better than hamburger helper - not as good as momma's.

I Baked a chicken and we had it as a side dish. It made 2 meals for 2 adults and a 5 yr old and an 8 yr old.

And I had leftovers for lunch. I do get the feeling that all you're really paying for is the shelf life and pkging.

that's good to know, now i don't have to open mine. ;D i guess the shelf life is worth it to me. i like to buy preps that i can throw in buckets for 10 years and not worry about.

That webpage is retarded, but you can rest assured the food is probably KOSHER....:)

I literally couldn't navigate the webpage to even find out their prices, but if they are "giving away free wackypack emergency kits" with your purchase, I would bet it's pricey+ (tm).

Get your buckets and O2 absorbers back out.

I just finally got my ordered delivered. I dunno if I should hate these guys or what. I mean, I know they are swamped right now, but I had one problem after another with them. I called them 5 times during the experience and they never responded to any of my E-mails, but one time. They are somewhat overpriced and took way to long to deliver my product. Another thing is they sell NOTHING with meat in it!

I bought some freeze dried meat elsewhere:
http://www.readymaderesources.com/cart/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=3027

I was much happier with my experience with this other company since they actually shipped within the same week. If I could do this over again, I'd pick up individual freeze dried cans, then just load up on foods that wouldn't parish much over time like rice and beans. Maybe I'm just being cynical, but there's no reason why they shouldn't include meat.
