it's some guy from the local conservative's office wanting to know if they could count on my vote in the upcoming election...i replied "no"

the guy then says "are you undecided? do you need to register?" i said "Oh no. I've definitely decided. there is no way in hell i will be voting for harper!"

after a few seconds, the guy says "very sorry to bother you sir. have a nice evening."

Last time I renewed my license I changed my voter registration so that my "party" is now classified as "none". I'm just not going to go along with the show anymore. I'm going to make it my duty to vote for whoever is the most obscure person with the smallest change of doing anything. At this point voting is an utter scam but I'll still be able to tell the people that haven't figured that out yet, "I voted, leave me alone". Plus I'll be able to vote NO!! on every local tax proposal that comes down the pike.

They are all in service to TPTB. I spoil my ballot every time. They don't get my vote, but I show up to exercise the process.

The only thing about Harper is that he is trying to convice the Canadian gun owners to vote for him by saying that he will abolish the gun registry. Supposedly they voted on it last time and they missed it by one vote, but that was because he had a minority government.
Pfft. I think he is fullof shit.

Besides, what is the difference if he is going to abolish the gun registry really? It would only apply to long guns. Handguns would stil be restricted. Either way I still would not be allowed to walk around with a firearm in order to protect myself and my family.

Freespirit - A few years ago I had a guy from teh NDP come around on bother me on my front porch. He started into his blurb and I interrupted him.

I said "let me ask you some questions" and he said "go ahead"

Me: What is the NDP's stance on Nuclear Power? (This was after the North American blackout)
Him: We are against it.

Me: What is the NDP's stance on gay mairrage?
Him: We are for it

Me: What is the NDP's stance on abortion?
Him: We are pro choice

I said that we are diametrically oppossed and there was no way in hell that his party would ever get my vote. NDP is a socialist platform anyways, but really they all are in the end.
