Please note you will be assessed a processing fee of $99.95 for each set which will be included in your overall purchase price.
*Please Note: The supply of this product is extremely limited. Therefore, in order to be fair to all customers who wish to purchase a set, APMEX has implemented a pre-registration and lottery type system to identify specific customers eligible to purchase the 2010 ATB coins from APMEX. Only the lottery winners will receive the email from APMEX with the offering and will be entitled to order one set of these coins.
If you do not receive an email from APMEX, you will not be eligible to purchase at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I saw that also ...after ordering and having my cc company call me to authorize the $1008.75. So if they (APMEX) have already verified my cc and I have recieved an order confirmation, wouldn't you think it was a done deal??

Congrats on that score. :)
I saw a couple of those America The Beautiful sets at a coin show that I went to yesterday. There was one that was a price of $2000 but it was PCGS graded and the second ATB set I saw was a raw set and that had a price of $1400. $1400 was the lowest price that I saw at the show and I thought that $1400 was a great price for an ATB set until I saw this thread. Even after that $99.95 "processing fee", you still did very well IMO. I think that once you get the order confirmation email from APMEX, then you should be good to go. You should also expect to get another email from APMEX stating that your order was shipped and you should receive the ATB set in the mail soon once you get that second email.

OK...something is strange about this. Why a Washington quarter front.... and its denomincation is $0.25?
This is not .999 silver, is it? Maybe 90%? The coin itself does not say. I like a piece of metal that is stamped with its own content.

The law that enacted the National Parks quarter program also authorized the production of 5 ounce .999 fine silver coins to be produced that bear the same design as the quarters. Although the design is essentially the same on these 3-inch 5 ounce silver coins, the larger surface area allows for some modification of the details, which makes these already beautiful designs even more stunning!
The National Parks quarter program, designed to run for eleven years (2010-2020), will commemorate a national site emblematic of each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and each U.S. territory (the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands). There will be a 5 ounce silver coin issued for each of the designs selected for the National Parks quarter program.
The 2010 National Parks 5 oz. silver coins have very low mintage, which will likely keep premiums very high. They commemorate the first five National Parks in the same order that the parks were founded. They are, Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, Yosemite National Park, California, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona and Mount Hood National Park, Oregon.
Called a 'bullion' coin by the Mint, the National Parks 5 ounce silver coins are the first of their weight and size minted by the United States Mint, and are the only silver 'bullion' coins minted other than the American Silver Eagles, which have been in continuous production since 1986.
I pulled the above from this site. http://www.moderncoinmart.com/cart1/home.php?cat=210
Their cheapest set is around 1475.

That decides for me... I buy something practical, like: food, log splitter, weapon.
I prefer to get silver at less than 50% of spot.... tag sale season just started. ;D

If you don't mind spending some time digging on the internet or locally there are quite a few deals to be had right now. The prices have run up so fast that non-bullion silver items are not being repriced fast enough to keep up. Especially at places that sell coins but aren't really considered coin shops.
One good score I had was at a Candy shop, I was in there several months ago and they had a little display with Royal Canadian Mint coins and some of them were silver but they were too pricey. For some reason it popped into my head last weekend that they were there. Sure enough I go check and was able to score several sterling $1 collector coins for well below spot. Pawn shops might also be a good place to try but they are a little more aware of the value of PM's. Just think outside the box as to what places sell coins but don't specialize in them.
I also have a few online sources that I am getting some great deals on but no way am I going to share them here until I am done with them.

Yes, it's retarded that it's essentially a giant quarter, face value and all. But, the weight and purity are stamped on the rim in order to retain the pure design of the quarter.
