We know the radiation is making it to West Coast, the whole continent and even Europe.

We also know Germany shut down reactors, " emergency measures ", and they had a beef
with Israel recently. Stuxnet information is out and this looks real, hence the meltdowns.
People predicted this.

Sherrie blog has some key links.

Morgan Stanley fund fails to repay debt on Tokyo property

TOKYO (Reuters) – A Morgan Stanley property fund failed to make $3.3 billion in debt payments by a deadline on Friday, handing over the keys to a central Tokyo office building to Blackstone (BX.N) and other in

The $4.2 billion MSREF V real estate fund missed its April 15 deadline to repay 278 billion yen($3.3 billion) vestors, the largest repayment failure of its kind in Japan.

The refinanced debt was sold in six different tranches by Morgan Stanley to investors.

Now comes the question on WHY Morgan Stanley did this?

Commonsense says they know something we do not or they can read the writing on the wall. Tokyo is getting a major amount of radiation from the Fukushima melt down. They have decided to walk away from their investments there.

I have read this morning (16th) that planes have been chartered with the elite getting out of Japan in a more hurried fashion than before.

Here is an article on how many of the banks have left Tokyo along with other major corporations and evacuated their top personnel. It is being denied by those corporations, but with the latest news of Morgan Stanley walking away from an office building, I would wager a bet it is true.

From Article:
Foreign firms are evacuating staff from Japan, after fears of radiation leaks at the Fukushima Daiichi plant escalated further.

German car maker BMW and car part maker Continental are among companies moving employees out of the country.

Others, including software group SAP, are moving staff to southern cities within Japan.

Workers have suspended operations at the nuclear plant after a rise in radiation levels.

Radiation levels in Tokyo were higher than normal, officials said, but not at levels dangerous to humans.

The expatriate staff of international banks, including Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered, have reportedly left the capital city.

Could this be due to information that just came out about Reactors 1, 2 and 3 (Mox Fuel) having melted?

Just released is the fact the fuel rods of reactors 1,2, and 3 (Mox Fuel - link to what Mox Fuel is) have melted and are at the bottom of the reactors.

This article about the melting says the containment vessels are at risk of the fuel melting and compromising the vessels by melting through them. The TEPCO people are downplaying that saying it is a uniform melt and the vessels are not at risk.

Lots of excellent links at sherrie blog.
"What I am reading is the fact the plant is actually had a full melt down in all the reactors (except for 5 and 6) and it is only through information here and there that the whole picture is coming to light. The TEPCO and Japanese government are not being honest with the Japanese people nor the world."

Excellent info Magnes, but extremely scary. While I'm not a religious man, I do pray for the Japanese people. :boohoo

Also, it's going to be interesting how the Japanese collect from Stanley Morgan. Does Stanley Morgan file bankruptcy? They're on Japanese soil, what are their laws. Very very interesting stuff.

I just finished reading that it will be at least NINE MONTHS before they start to cover the area with cement and that AT LEAST 200,000 will die.

You're on the West Coast, I got a brother over there, friends and even relatives.

We know radiation made it over, I am no scientist, I do know from past that DU
which is very heavy particle from Iraq made it to UK monitoring stations and they
responded by shutting them down. What's may come is going to be far worse it
looks like on the face of things. ???

The links are from http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/ , everyone here should be
reading headlines daily, but the Sherrie blog is excellent full of links, had to highlight it.

PETER SCHIFF , talks about Japan, events are inflationary with higher rates coming.
This may be a major catalyst.

Japan nuclear operator aims for cold shutdown in 6-9 months

The operator of the crippled nuclear power plant leaking radiation in northern Japan announced a plan Sunday that would bring the crisis under control within six to nine months and allow some evacuated residents to return to their homes.

The chairman of power plant administrator Tokyo Electric Power Co., who was hammered by questions over his management responsibility, also apologized for the crisis at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant and said he was considering stepping down.

"We sincerely apologize for causing troubles," Tsunehisa Katsumata. "We are doing our utmost to prevent the crisis from further worsening."

"I feel very responsible," he added.

Frustrations have been mounting over TEPCO's failure to resolve the nuclear crisis more than a month after a catastrophic earthquake and tsunami hit Japan on March 11, knocking out power and cooling systems at the Fukushima Dai-ichi complex.

The toll from Japan's triple catastrophe is rising. More than 13,000 people have been confirmed dead, and on Wednesday the government cut its outlook for the economy, in deflation for almost 15 years, for the first time in six months.

Fighting criticism
TEPCO unveiled a phased road map for ending the crisis at a news conference, including plans to cover the damaged reactor buildings to contain the radiation and eventually remove the nuclear fuel.

The plan was unveiled as Japan's prime minister also apologized for the nuclear crisis and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited to show American solidarity with the Japanese people.

Now comes the question on WHY Morgan Stanley did this?

Morgan Stanley walked away from another office building in San Francisco in 2007 and took an even bigger loss.

it's not that un-common. i think they were a little over-optimistic with some of their property investments.
