The guy in the video sold a pool account, not SLV. He bought it in 2003, years before SLV existed. SLV does produce a bar list showing that they have ~350Moz backing up the shares (although yes, some people liike Harvey Organ think that JPM, iShares, Brinks, Via Mat, Johnson Matthey, and Inspectorate have all conspired and committed fraud and there really is no silver).

SLV is no different in my opinion.. the prospectus says.. the etf could trade at, above or below market value... How can the metal trade below the market value?.. this is whats called.. "Covering your Ass" in the event of a run on the ETF... Buyer Beware

CNBC just delivered the "kiss of death" for silver. This is a bearish indicator for silver. :D There is no doubt that it is going to go down starting now.

Yeah, well duh, those bytes his virtual silver digits take up on hard discs costs too! Hard disc space is not exactly free, you know. Probably his share of the hard disc costs around 0.0000147 cents give or take, and then add to that the normal brokerage markup of 6.500.000.000%.... Nothing strange going on here!

I can't believe you'd bale on the DOG over three lousy rolls of TP. Knowing Ponce, their probably not even the soft fluffy scented kind. :oo-->

Hey Mamboni, I am not bailing on the DOG. Since I love collecting silver art bars, then I will ALWAYS cherish the DOG for the rest of my life.
I just think that the DOG needs (and will take) a breather this year and I feel that it will not hit $50 this year but instead it will get severely smacked down in the $20's before it recovers later this year (into the high $30's as a wild guess).

I don't see it, the inflation genie is way out of the bottle this time. There is no putting it back in. Either the government will outright default on it's obligations or it will print up what it needs. QE3 will happen, there is NO buyer of our debt other than the Federal Reserve Bank. China is selling, Europe has their own debt crisis, the middle east is a basket case with their dictators doing all that they can to placate their populace to remain in power, and Japan just suffered a massive quake and tsunami. They were our last buyer of debt. I have a strong feeling they will not be purchasing more debt for a while, and will probably look at ways to liquidate it so that they can fund their rebuilding effort.
You're looking at it with an incorrect perspective. Silver has remained the same value for over 5,000 years. The currency it is measured against is dying.

Ares,
I agree 100% with you on that post about the reasons for silver (and gold) to continue to go up. The long term negative fundamentals have not changed at all and will not change in the future. I agree with you on that.
The point that I was making with my "No $50 silver in 2011" gut feeling prediction is that this runnup is too far too fast and in the short term (this year), it will get smacked down and it will not hit $50 this year.
I also want to state for the record that, sometime after 2011, silver will eventually hit (and easily pass) the $50 mark because of the reasons you mentioned BUT it will not hit $50 in 2011.

I think it will hit and possibly pass 50 this year. Reason being again is the horrible fundamentals in the financial sector.
Things are moving more rapidly now than in years past. The S&P just down graded our debt while Congress debates cutting a pitiful 30-60 billion from the budget. More people are waking up to the con that the fiat currency is dying and is moving in to position to buy. If Silver even gets in the 30's I'll be buying with whatever powder I have left. Same with my 2 neighbors who 2 years ago thought I was joking and now are deadly serious on buying with both hands.
Joe and Jane Q Taxslave has awoken and are preparing. Precious Metals are money, always have been always will be. The dog is running and I believe with so many years of rest (try 3 decades) has a lot of room left to run.

There are a few people I know who didn't get any silver when I recommended it over the years or bought very little, now they are all wishing they had loaded up and have told me they will do so if there is a significant price correction. That is why I feel even if there is one it will be very mild, everyone wants to buy more not take profits. It used to be that they would push silver down and lots of people would get scared and get out of the market which gave them a big bang for their buck. Now everyone is buying and see any significant drop as a sale.

Good thing JP Morgan has their own Comex Vault! You just can't make this crap up.
Will JPMorgan Now Make and Take 'Delivery' of Its Own Silver Shorts?
There is nothing inherently wrong and certainly nothing "illegal" about J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM) gaining a vault license for storing and taking delivery of gold/silver/platinum/palladium from the futures markets known as NYMEX/COMEX. However, the speed, timing and manner in which the exchanges just granted it troubles us.

I imagine having that vault costs them something, and I bet not having it would cost them a whole lot more.
It would not surprise me to learn that getting the vault was a lot like throwing a drowning man a lifesaver.

If JPM were not suppressing the price, silver would be easily in the three digits. The cat is out of the bag. There is no more going back to the $20's. Too much smart money buying the dips and taking delivery.

In a boxing game, both boxers experience what it feels to be punched. The only difference is how they react after taking the hit. The winners are those who are strong enough to stand up and fight back. While the losers just give up and stay down until the count is over.

WOW ! Nice post, they got the stackers, feeling the silver up even, lol,
the back up the truck guy gomez is there, dealers robbing other dealers, lol ,
paper is fake, slv is fake, and they got Ponce quoted almost word for word.
I am surprised to see that, not that long ago they were mocking Schiff.
CNBC was a staple in the background, no more cable, don't know what they are doing for while.
