They have the technology to grossly violate your privacy. They do not have the right to do so.

However, governments at all levels are morphing into fascist thug organizations, and the judges are all nazis in their own right, so there is no prospect for government to voluntarily stop invading peoples' privacy.

I do have some hope that the more technically inclined people (hackers) will find technical fixes that will neutralize the technology that the fascists are using to violate privacy. I'd like to see some encryption armor--not only on phones, but in all computer activities. I'd especially like to see an easy to use email encryption package.

People have choices. You don't have to buy a smart phone. You can use a dumb phone that is just a phone--no camera, no file system, no gps--nothing but a phone--or you can revert back to a land line. If the government continues to violate peoples rights and their privacy, we will see this kind of technological regression.
