Today is the day that Christ rose from the dead.

God bless you all. I pray for the entire membership, that Christ strengthens your faith if you have it, and that he softens the hearts of those that do not.

Happy Easter to one and all! I went to church today with my entire family, plus my sister's in-laws. It's the one day out of the year that we all go to church. (Throughout the year, I occasionally go to church with my neighbor, or friends.) The service was lovely, and when I was driving home, I asked God to un-harden my heart. Not to him, but in general.

K-os, do you mind if I ask....why not specifically towards him?

I was going to ask that question too, BB, but I figure if K-os honestly asks God to soften her heart, He will. I trust in Gods plan for all of us.

'O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?'
1 Corinthians 15:55

He has risen. This IS the good news!
Let us remember it every day.

I'm just curious as to why she mentioned it specifically. I trust that she can tell I am asking kindly. :)

K-os, if you'd prefer not to answer, I understand. Just though I would ask since you mentioned it in your post.

I have no business answering for k-os, especially given the subject matter, but I interpreted her post to mean that her heart was/is not specifically hardened to God, and so it didn't/doesn't particularly need unhardening, but that she wants to unharden her heart in general, for the benefit of all.

lol

sorry for just kinda up and speaking out of place, but this is a discussion forum after all.

Just poured orgonite to capture all the positivity people have in their hearts today. Got 6 pyramids and 24 towerbusters out of it - they're curing now.

You are right, sirgonzo420. To be more specific, I asked God to un-harden my heart to the possibility for romantic love. I've been happily single for a long time now, and it's about time I got miserable again. :o

Sorry, it got too real there for a minute and I had to lighten it up. But that's what it was about. I noticed that I will see a handsome guy, and then run through the entire relationship in my head (and it spirals downhill in my head really quickly). I think "oh, he probably hates guns", or "he wouldn't like my dogs" . . . etc., etc., and believe me, I have a million reasons, from the reasonable (those examples) to the crazy.

The sermon today was about asking God to un-harden our hearts, not just to him, but to life, and love.

The pastor also asked us to pray for strangers, so I did that on my drive home too. It was kinda fun, praying for people driving next to me. I wondered what neat things would happen in their lives because of my anonymous prayer.

Aha! "The rest of the story"!

I'm sure you could find a solid guy around here.

;)

Or you could try women! (I'm sorry... lol)

Praying or "boosting" strangers with love is a very effective exercise. It's easy to boost people you already love while it is difficult - but worthwhile - to send love to people you've never met. It is an excellent way to soften one's heart.

Don't think so much K-os ;) when fate comes knocking on your door you'll know, if you aren't thinking it to death. ;)
