Kitco 'Spot' market pricing

Can someone please explain to me the difference between the graphs shown on this page? What exactly is the 'Spot Market is Open' it shows as open in green font for the 'World Spot Price? Is this purely a timeline reflection? I want to make sure i understand it correctly.
