View Full Version : Request: list state (or country) location in your member profile

I think it would be helpful for members to list their state location (or country, for those outside the U.S.) in their profile. I can think of two reasons; there may be more.

1) It provides a regional perspective on your comments, particularly when regional current events occur in the news
2) It would be interesting to see the regional distribution of GSUSers
3) Would be helpful if anyone was inclined to arrange a regional meet up.

I know people here value their privacy; I can be as paranoid as the next guy. But I don't think a state ID is giving much away, particularly since many make reference to it already in their posts. As for being tracked, you already know that you can be tracked much more precisely than that if someone is really motivated to do so.

Just a thought.

Shouldn't the ADLers here indicate "Israel" as their state even if they are currently located in NYC or Miami or Arizona?

:D

Looking for excitement, flexibility and growth? Consider a full-time position as a Finance Assistant for the Central Intelligence Agency. Finance Assistants are responsible for supporting pre-audit reconciliation, processing financial data, preparing and auditing travel-related transactions, auditing invoices for commercial vendors, and performing other ad hoc duties.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minimum requirements: This position is open to those possessing a high school diploma, also those who have acquired any level of Associates education or equivalent, but not a four-year degree.

Wow, they're tapping our High Schools for the best of the best to do their accounting. Way to reach for the stars CIA! No wonder our country is in the toilet.

Maybe the new forum software will allow your location to be seen in every post if you choose.
I think vBulletin has such a feature.
