Wow...........

I really cant type a whole cause there is so much to say just know both Wife and The Little Priceness are Home and Recovering

I was there for all of it and I will NEVER forget it ( I am still breathless just thinking about it )

She was Born on Good Friday at 10.32 am

I wanted to try and share everything with you guys as it was happening but things went really quick, really fast ( by time we showed up at the at the hospital she was just about 8 centimeters.

She labored for about a hour and then the Docs made the call to do a C section It was a good call because she was almost 10 pounds and 2 feet long and there would have been alot more difficulties with a Vaginal Birth.

Im still reelling because I had to put in massive leg work running around because both of our familes are not in the immediate area.

I now know what it is to run on Fumes and still keep it going .

I got Alot to say and I will update this thread when I can.

I just would like Personally thank everybody for the well wishes, support and wise council that was offered when I wasnt sure just what choice I should make.

You guys and gals are The Best of The Best and I Love you all.

get ready to bend over and take it. That girl will have you wrapped aroudn her finger...and you'll love every moment of it. hold her as much as you can. later on, she won't even let you hold her. in a few years, kisses will be a no-no too. I have an 8mth old girl now, and honestly, she's growing so fast....every day she does something new. When I go to work and come home, I feel like I haven't seen her in years cuz she learns and do so many new things. I miss seeing that tiny, helpless little girl I brought home. drink up every second, foo!

With a boy, ya only gotta worry about one dick.

With a girl, you gotta worry about all of 'em.

I hope she gets assigned a VERY diligent Guardian Angel, in addition to her parents.

I was thinking about Guardian Angels. In the old days, they just had to protect kids while climbing trees, riding bikes, etc.

These days, the job is more complicated. There's Corexit rain, Radiation rain, Corexit food, Radiation food, combined Corexit-Radiation food. A Lot more things for a Guardian Angel to protect a Child from.

I had a Guardian Angel experience in 2002, involving a Great White Shark, even as an adult. I also knew a woman in the Chicago area who had an extremely gifted daughter, and she was certain that her daughter had a Guardian Angel.

DOROS is Gift
THEA is God

So her name litterally translates into "Gift of God" And she most certainley is

It was kind of funny because for the entire pregnacy i kept that under wraps because I knew the wife is much too modest to allow something like that .... so the whole time I was steady plotting saying "dont worry we will have a name when we lay eyes on her" .

It took her about 3 days to give in but before we left the hospital she already calling her Thea and it goes over very well with our last names

Dorothea Annabeth Dixon

And the man who really loves your daughter will try to win you over, no matter how you look or act.

One thing I really want to pass on to my daughter is: don't make it easy. Observe how a man acts in every situation, especially trying ones, to see what kind of character he has. And notice how he treats his mother: does he lover her without being a mama's boy? Or do they have a bad relationship? A man who has a good relationship with his mother is usually a keeper.

Freud wrote, "A man who has been the indisputable favorite of his mother keeps for life the feeling of conqueror, that confidence of success that often induces real success." That is so true!

Well everyone else has said it so eloquently... But Congrats on a big change in your life... I am glad I have a son. If I had a daughter I think I would be over protective of them... especially when they begin to date...I would be cleaning my weapons when the date arrives at the door! 8-) Is this your first? If so... be patient with both the mommy and the baby things will change... you cant wait for them to talk... then you wish they would shut up sometimes... you cant wait for them to walk... and then its fun chasing them before they run into the street! But then really its all fun and interesting!
