The one decade anniversary is now only about 4 months away. Do we really know all the details?
Well of course we do.. that was the day we had 3 buildings fall in very interesting fashion after being struck by 2 planes. An amazing feat, you'd almost think it defied the laws of physics, or something.
Yes, something indeed. Now into 10 years we are on the war footing. It will be a war economy. War business has been good, war business is getting better. The money is there. Even defending your country, as long as you don't get injured, can be very lucrative. The mercenary business can be a well compensated career and with a downward facing job market in the private sector it is finding great promise. As they say, "it's not just a job, it's an adventure!"
The globalist were stunned at America and despite their outward dismay with Bush, they have embraced Obama. The world is more than willing to help out. Central banks and govts in many parts of volitile regions are standing ready. With help coming from Chinese and Russian arms manufacturers, military equipment sales are better than ever. We are talking a bull market here that could last many decades.
War is a local thing. A few words in the national news about it in a far away place is really no more of a concern than a kid pusing buttons on a video game. The latest concern, I discovered, was about whether to use drones or not - they save gas I'm guessing. I think the course has been pretty well laid out. Our world leader, the peace prize in hand, knows how to drive a military bull markets right into those who might remind us of that day 10 years ago. That's the way I figure most will remember it anyway.
In another 10 years will we have found out anything different? Will I be able to post this thread just like this and have it be every bit the same? Maybe gold will be $10,000 and the names will be different. If you haven't started to yawn yet and search for that latest re-run of American Idol by now, you still have time - we'll talk again in 10 years.
