Bin Laden dead but 'war goes on,' Cheney warns (http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5ikvHNUmsAttjeliejA4xtq9POcAA?docId=CNG.627b7 372f3acc13c7f531216bc315790.361)

"I also want to congratulate President Obama and the members of his national security team," Cheney said.

"Al-Qaeda remains a dangerous enemy. Though bin Laden is dead, the war goes on. We must remain vigilant, especially now, and we must continue to support our men and women in uniform who are fighting on the front lines of this war every day," he added...

Former US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, meanwhile, told NBC television Monday that US success in cornering and killing Bin Laden was a US triumph, because the military ultimately succeeded in getting access to vital information about the Al-Qaeda leader's whereabouts.

"This was an intelligence problem from the beginning, of course. We have always had the ability to kill or capture -- we needed the intelligence," said Rumsfeld on the "Today Show" television program.

Was America Attacked by Scary Moozlemismists on 9/11? (http://davidraygriffin.com/articles/was-america-attacked-by-muslims-on-911/)

David Ray Griffin

[...]
Conclusion

All the proffered evidence that America was attacked by Muslims on 9/11, when subjected to critical scrutiny, appears to have been fabricated. If that is determined indeed to be the case, the implications would be enormous. Discovering and prosecuting the true perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks would obviously be important. The most immediate consequence, however, should be to reverse those attitudes and policies that have been based on the assumption that America was attacked by Muslims on 9/11.

but alas, csmonitor:

Osama bin Laden dead, but no 'peace dividend' (http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/2011/0502/Osama-bin-Laden-dead-but-no-peace-dividend)

Osama bin Laden death cheered many Americans, but not US markets or economists. Osama bin Laden death will have little effect on business or military spending.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, a Republican from Michigan, said he was conflicted over whether the administration should release an image of bin Laden.

"It's something that we're gonna have to work through," Rogers said. "We want to make sure that we maintain dignity, if there was any, in Osama bin Laden, so that we don't inflame problems other places in the world, and still provide enough evidence that people are confident that it was Osama bin Laden."

Osama bin Laden's burial at sea was quickly criticised by Muslim scholars who claimed it had breached sharia law and warned that it may provoke calls for revenge attacks against US targets.

Others used the sea burial question to question whether he was dead at all, with doubts fuelled by the absence of authentic photographs of his corpse.
Bin Laden to join Hitler, Saddam on Time (http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/breaking-news/bin-laden-to-join-hitler-saddam-on-time/story-e6frf7jx-1226048908498)

From correspondents in Washington From: AFP May 03, 2011 9:09AM

TIME says it is publishing a special issue of the magazine with a red "X" over Osama bin Laden's face, something it did previously with Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein.

Time said the special issue on the death of the al-Qaeda leader, killed by US troops in Pakistan yesterday, will appear on newsstands on Friday.

It said the cover will feature a red "X" over a picture of bin Laden's face.

Time ran similar covers in May 1945 following the death of Hitler, in April 2003 following the death of Saddam Hussein and in June 2006 following the death of the Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The New York Times said meanwhile that it had increased its print run of today's newspaper by an additional 165,000 copies to cope with demand for news on the death of the 9/11 mastermind.

The Times also said it was breaking with its usual style and dropping the honorific "Mr" for bin Laden, referring him only as bin Laden on second reference.

Reminds me of how fast they removed and destroyed every ounce of 9-11 Ground Zero steel so nobody could test for controlled demolition evidence.
