Automobile use tax based on mileage, and get this - the tax will be collected *electronically* at the filling station when one gets fuel.

If you're opposed to this then obviously you're a racist.

I'll be happy to document the buckshot trials for the device - it may be a short scientific study though.

I wouldn't suggest a buckshot trial for this tracking device as you will likely be bearing the cost of it directly.

I wonder which MIC company will get the contract to crank out these tracking devices in China.

Its only partly about collecting money. It is really a means of tracking your every move. It is about control. The BEAST wants to control everything. The beast will burn in hell.

If there is not outright rebellion in Minnesota about this, those people have been dosing up too much on flouride, bisphenol-A, estrogen and wearing chinese-made lead/cadmium jewelry.

I doubt you'll see anyone rebelling against this in Minnesota, the same test has already been conducted and completed in Oregon without any big deal being made out of it.

the minnesota dot has been quite vocal that the mielage tax "will replace the gas tax." they're telling everyone the gas tax will be eliminated. people think it's great!

Honestly if it comes to the point of having something like this installed in my vehicle I won't care about the cost anyway. Bang bang.

Just another push towards more serfdom.

I'm pretty damn sick of being a slave to fund everything that's not in my interest.

You're going to get even sicker - the question is when will people start returning the favor?

It absolutely is about control and for making profits for the makers of this product. All they have to do is increase the gas tax if they want more revenue.

I don't see a republican house passing this.

It is cheaper and less open to fraud to collect a gas sales tax (that has the advantages of not living like a prisoner with a monitoring bracelet wrapped around one's axel) that also taxes you by how efficiently you use gas? The Hummer driver pays more per mile than the prius driver.

Is it about saving the environment from CO2 or taxing people to move?

If one does not want to tax people to move then one is racist the sheep press could bleat. ::)

Is it racist to point out the economic truth that its cheaper and less open to fraud to collect a gas sales tax that has the advantages of not living a prisoner with a monitoring bracelet wrapped around one's axel but also taxes you by how efficiently you use gas? (The Hummer driver pays more per mile than the prius driver.)

they're already working on that. heard on the radio they are going to be taxing volt and leaf drivers because they don't buy any gas.

I think more revenue would be raised if they instead decided to tax faggotry, deceit, corruption, stupidity, and chutzpah in the District of Columbia alone.

Think about it - human beings get taxed double over this, but corporations running fleets of vehicle get to write all of it off, 100%.

Things like domination porn are now free for all but healthy food is being made illegal without perscription (http://www.infiniteunknown.net/2011/01/02/hundreds-of-herbal-medicine-products-to-be-outlawed-across-eu-in-early-2011/).

If you like healthy food your racist! -future sheep press bleat

Good news for the NRA.

As automobile travel becomes increasingly monitored, regulated, and eventually automated, and as cars continue to be increasingly designed by, marketed toward, and purchased by women, I think the gun stands a good chance of replacing the automobile as the primary status marker and “symbol of freedom” in the hearts and minds of American men.

I grew up reading Car and Driver, but these days I couldn’t tell a Mercedes from a Hyundai. But I can tell a Glock from an XD. Who gives a crap what kind of car a guy drives? The important question is “what’s he packin’?”

So what you're saying is, is that domination porn should be prescription only?

(I get what you're saying... and I agree, the future is bleak)

I for one don't travel around much anymore so that I wont' be paying that much in "travel tax'.......but.........if they are tracking me while I am traveling I then do mind........I wonder if they are going to put a travel meter on my scooter?

First post of the day..............good morning to one and all.

They come up with a travel meter where you pay a fee for miles traveled and a month later the geeks will have box to bypass it for sale on the net.

It will be just like the old days when you bought plans for a cable box and after a trip to radioshack you were watching showtime and HBO for nothing.

You don't see anyone selling 'refurbished' cableboxes anymore, do you? Know of any way of beating the toll pass RFID??

If this comes to pass you can bet fascist.gov will close off all possible means of bypassing it.

You know? I never fill my car at the service station but rather always fill a couple of my five gallons gas containers which I then take back home and then use two of the other ones, that way I always rotate my gas cans.......have about ten of them.

If I were ever to go on a long trip my meter would then go crazy at the service stationk, like, how can I travel for about 1,500 miles on a tank of gas? ........the meter must be broken ;D

I'm sure version 2.0 will allow your car to be remotely shutdown. You know...for your safety.

It'd probably be more likely for the purposes of national security as your safety is always secondary to that.

Time to start brushing up on our embedded systems coding/reverse engineering. Re-write the flash of the unit to divide the miles driven by 10 or something. Viva la debugger!

What's next, a pavement tax? They bug your person, and the more miles you walk, the more you get taxed to upkeep the sidewalks. This way, they can tax the active healthy people, and encourage the American Idol TV watchers...afterall, the healthy people live longer and will be much more of a burden when they get older on the healthcare system.

Then comes a shower tax, your electro tracking gadget will also detect water. Water tax, the more you shower, the more you pay in water taxes....then, will come the shit tax, to upkeep our sewers, the more you shit, the more you pay in taxes. Ponce, watch your TP man they are coming for you!!

Solid? your shoes will have a meter in them and everytime you take them off it sends a signal to Uncle Sugar, they will then (for your convinience) take X ammount out of your "debit-credit" card........oh yea, everyone will have a debit-credit card..........what you earn goes into it and what you spend (or the government wants) will come out of it.
