Found an old coin from India today. Very small, about 1/2 the size of a pinky fingernail. Inexpensive, so I bought it. Looks like it was made around 1790ish. The picture below is not mine but the one I purchased looks exactly like it. I would have hated to use this coin as currency way back when. I'll bet folks lost them all the time. And here I thought dimes were too small.

It's too bad you didn't place a dime or a quarter beside yours and take a photo!
That would put it in perspective.

I sent it via interoffice mail to my web developer in Bangalore. Mysore is very near Bangalore and I thought it would be a good gift for him, and neat to repatriate the coin. Here is a picture of it in a coin holder.
